In 1974, the founder of Águia Sistemas, Ferdinando Scheffer Júnior, believing in the economical potential of the forestry sector, started planting and reforesting activities in deforested areas. Águia Florestal started activities in 1992, when forests reached harvesting phase.
Today, the company has three plants and is considered as self-sufficient in raw material supply, which generates competitiveness and assurance to its customers. Wood extracted from its forests generates products such as clear blocks, blanks, panels and glued beams for the civil construction and furniture industries. Águia Florestal exports most of its production, in addition to supplying the domestic market.
The environmental responsibility of Águia Florestal is featured by the preservation areas that occupy 52% of the company’s areas, with riparian woods, legal reserves, and Araucaria forests.
