SOLVENT-BASED RESINS
Solvent-based resins are polymers diluted with (aromatic, acetate or aliphatic) solvents to make their handling and use easy. We have a full solvent-based resin line available including the following families: Acrylic, Alkyd, Aminic, Pitch-derived, Epoxy Esters, Phenolic, Modified Oils, Polyesters, Polyurethane, and Resinates. WATER-BASED RESINS
Water-based resins are polymers that accept substantial amounts of water and generally make up translucent and clear films and are also known as emulsions or hydrosoluble solutions. They are less aggressive to the environment and to final users once they minimize organic compound emission during the paint drying process. RESINS FROM RENEWABLE SOURCES
Águia is continuously concerned with the environment. Its first innovation to this respect has been to create and continuously improve its water-based resins. Following this line, the company has launched the Green Line Brazil. This line refers to resins with higher use of renewable sources and very low organic compound (VOC) emission, including the innovative alkyd water-based resin. SOLVENTS
Solvents are used in a number of paint manufacturing steps. Their applications go from adjustment of milling paste viscosity to aid to fluidity of vehicles and ready-to-use paints at canning step. Águia Química is a solvent distributor, certified by the national Petroleum Agency (ANP) since 2008. DISTRIBUTION
With the purpose of providing our customers with a full solution, Águia Química has also a distribution operation. We rely on a wide array of raw materials for the paint and coating segments, such as additives, fillers and pigments.
