This comprises the use of biomass (wood waste) for heat generation, instead of the fossil fuel, diesel-oil. The heat generated by the Biocham burner is used to heat thermal oil in a Thermomat heat exchanger. The heat is conducted to the Águia Química reactors to supply their fuel needs.
With this, the company reduces costs, reuses energy, and benefits the community as a whole, avoiding the emission of toxic gases into the atmosphere. Furthermore, it avoids the storage of decomposing wood waste at Águia Florestal yard and thus prevents environmental liability.
This is a project that, in addition to depicting our position in relation to social responsibility, is outstanding as it is in compliance with the MDL (Mecanismo de Desenvolvimento Limpo)[Clean Development Mechanisms] criteria which aims at the reduction of greenhouse gas emissions.
This project is already settled and properly running. Our objective now is to achieve the CER (Certificate of emission reduction), recognized worldwide in the same modality of MDL and the required bureaucratic procedures are already being carried out.
