Águia Group has two large projects for natural reserves, the Araucaria Reserve and the Natural Reserve Buraco do Padre.
Araucaria Reserve
It comprises araucaria reforesting throughout the Campos Gerais region. Araucaria preservation is one of Águia's milestone, which incorporated the philosophy of its founder, Ferdinando Scheffer Jr for whom this tree, the symbol of Paraná, does not only represent the past, but his respect for the future.
The environmental responsibility of Águia Participações is characterized by the preservation areas that occupy 52% of the company’s areas. In the last census carried out in 2006, araucarias accounted for more than 100 units with more than 8-cm diameter.
Natural Reserve Buraco do Padre
The natural reserve Buraco do Padre is a property of Águia Participações, but it is open to the whole community to enjoy this paradise. This project consists of the preservation of a natural reserve and its permanent maintenance.
